Dear Fans, Friends and Family,
We (4 Filmmakers from Europe) are making our fiction feature film debut about our (former) hometown Amsterdam. Our roots, trials, tribulations and last but never least: our beautiful 'influential' women.
“#”
A Group of Influential Friends Falling Apart. A Tragic Ode To The City. A Contemporary tale of young popular social millennials doing it them- selves and chasing dreams online with success. “#” tells the story of a group of friends in a city during one hot and shiny summer of life and death.
Beautiful creatives, all special in their own way, united online as the talk of the town called #CLIMAX. Trendsetting on everyones screens and streams in music, fashion, lifestyle and art thanks to its four different independent women. They Share their uncensored, unfiltered point of views and lives in good writing and not only in emojis. As their story unfolds we meet them at a crossroads in their young lives on a Friday in late August. They sign a contract with a media publisher, that’ll turn their personal diaries into profitable careers. As they celebrate at their newly opened offline pop-up store with a coffee table book launch we follow the four girls from their four perspectives during the Week that will forever change their lives.
That Friday night after taking matching tattoos “#” at their sold out anniversary party to celebrate all of this the first cracks become visible in this perfect picture of fame. In the limelight and fast lane of being on top so sudden, they lose sight and focus on each others state of mind. When Lisa, the Poster Girl of the group, loses her mind she actually jumps of her Art School rooftop the night of the party. Perhaps she took the word "Angel" too literal, people call her Angel all day long... Under the influence of self-hatred, depression in combination with a troubled past perhaps she just decided to believe that she could fly. Maybe she forgot to check her wings. Whatever happened is the Bomb dropped on the lives of others. Friends, Family and Followers are left in shock. She brings the rest along in a free fall on a Rollercoaster Ride downhill of stress, sadness and silence.
We non-chronologically experience The Party, The Wake and The Funeral from all four perspectives of the Group: Lisa, Caro, Bea and Mia. We see this one week up close and personal with the most active, sexy and seductively creative girls in town. This time in mourning, silent, with no filters and without a backup plan. In the shadows of success we follow the leftovers and stick around in an attempt to clean up all of this mess. Survival of the Fittest. The Show Must Go On and there’s no such things as bad publicity...
Five years later Shamiro, their dear MC during the Party & the Master of Ceremonies at The Funeral, reminisces this crazy summer. Rollin' a joint, reflecting and reminiscing with his little black book full of flashbacks. He’s still here. Well, here in Berlin. The rest? Find out and see: “#”
